A fueling facility in Tanknology’s Midwest region requested a TankCam® inspection of an 8,000-gallon fiberglass tank to inspect for undesirable conditions or abnormal operating conditions. The tank held regular unleaded.
The TankCam inspection showed several possible points of ingress, mostly
pinholes, on the lower tank surfaces. The inspection also showed what looked to be a tank stick on the tank bottom, but the sludge and water obscuring the tank bottom prevented a visual confirmation that the stick had pierced the tank. Blistering was found on the lower half of the tank, along with some flaking on the endcap.
TankCam® video inspection services from Tanknology help you detect UST problems with no need for excavation or manned entry. TankCam is patent pending.
