Austin, TX – Tanknology Inc. announced today the signing of a new international licensee in The Netherlands. Amsterdam-based Tanktechniek will provide the company’s underground storage tank (UST), line and leak detector testing and UST video inspection services throughout the territory of the Netherlands and Belgium. Tanktechniek has licensed Tanknology’s patented VacuTect® Tank Testing System and completed training and certification of its technicians. As Tanknology’s exclusive agent, Tanktechniek is now launching itself as a significant force in the UST testing market in these two countries. Tanktechniek will also provide highly detailed tank inspections utilizing Tanknology’s proprietary PetroScope® Remote Camera Unmanned Internal Tank Inspection System to customers in the region. According to Ronald Molhuijsen of Tanktechniek, the company will be using the PetroScope system to verify the integrity of the internal coating of steel USTs, as required by Dutch regulations. The PetroScope system has been approved for required 15-year inspections of tanks containing a 100% internal coating.
